The WWE Draft took place on SmackDown Live this past Tuesday night and, as you could probably imagine, Brock Lesnar was one of the top picks.
While he was rumoured to be potentially the first name off the board, Lesnar actually dropped to 8th overall, just behind John Cena, who went to SmackDown while The Beast Incarnate will reside on Monday Night Raw.
However, when Lesnar was announced, there was no mention of Paul Heyman. And there is a very good reason for that.

When Rusev and The Miz were selected, it was made very clear that both Lana and Maryse were going with them to their new brands, respectively.
That wasn't the case with Lesnar, who was just stated as being a single person and not associated with Heyman. The reason why? Heyman's contract has run out.
According to Dave Meltzer, the WWE and Heyman have yet to come to terms on a new deal.
"It was notable that unlike other wrestler/manager combinations, Lesnar was not listed with Paul Heyman," Meltzer wrote in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
"Heyman’s contract with WWE has expired and at this point the sides haven’t come to an agreement for a renewal, so he was never mentioned as coming to Raw with Lesnar."
Heyman is a definite fan favorite among the WWE Universe, providing a mouthpiece that Lesnar desperately needs with his incredible long passionate promos helping but The Beast over even more than a win over Mark Hunt would.
If the WWE cannot work out a deal with Heyman then it is truly their loss. 'The Paulrus' should almost certainly be working in the SmackDown or Raw creative teams, rather than just being the advocate of Lesnar.
