Brock Lesnar reportedly won't be suspended by the WWE

Published 24 Comments

After failing two USADA drug tests before and after his fight against Mark Hunt, Brock Lesnar is facing a severe punishment from the UFC.

Numerous reports state that Lesnar is going to receive a two-year ban from the UFC for taking performance enhancing drugs, the same punishment Jon Jones is getting, with the two apparently taking the same substance.

So, what will the WWE be doing to punish Lesnar for failing that drugs test? Well, let's just say you shouldn't be holding your breath.

According to respected wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer, the WWE won't be slapping Lesnar with anything.

Appearing today on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer stated that he had heard Vince McMahon and co were not going to be suspending Lesnar at all.

This pretty much goes hand in hand with the statement that the WWE released when the news of Lesnar's failed test broke.

"Brock Lesnar has not performed for WWE since WrestleMania and is not scheduled to return until Sunday, Aug. 21," was pretty much all they said.

Clearly, since Lesnar wasn't appearing in WWE at the time of the positive test, they don't feel the need to suspend him, which is absolutely a cop-out.

Hopefully, Meltzer is wrong and the WWE will show some backbone. Don't count on it, though.
