Team USA scrimmage is a time for the NBA's best players to come together and hone their skills ahead of representing their country.
Media availability is usually the standard procedure; the same old questions and the usual recycled answers, however, the event in Las Vegas - ahead of the 2016 Summer Olympics - threw up one of the most hilarious, and awkward moments in recent time as Kevin Durant and DeAndre Jordan answered questions.
The new Golden State Warriors man was midway through an unrelated question when he was interrupted by his compatriot to ask why the center could not convince him to join the Los Angeles Clippers.
In a sort of stunned disbelief, Durant stuttered and struggled before saying "I don't know - we'll talk about that another time." with the Clippers man turning to the reporter in question and saying "maybe tomorrow".
The power forward, clearly uncomfortable with the whole situation, advises Jordan to "talk about something else" before saying it was a "bad question". Jordan's laid back attitude kept a light tone to the whole debacle and, sensing a chance to turn the tables, the 2014 MVP said it was all just one big joke.
Are you sure about that Kevin?
The former Oklahoma City Thunder man has come in for a lot of criticism for his free agency decision and it seems that he can't get escape the questions no matter how hard he tries.
Even when the focus is on winning gold for the United States of America, the focus is on the NBA season and how his choice of team has affected the league as a whole.
But Durant's eyes are set firmly on one thing, and that is topping the pile at the Olympics once again. The Stars and Stripes are gunning for a third straight gold medal and KD is the poster boy of the 2016 edition. Anything less than top spot will be disastrous.
