Adnan Januzaj expected to complete loan deal away from Manchester United

Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj looks set to depart Old Trafford on a temporary basis once again this summer.

This has been reported by the Daily Mail, who claim that Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is still open to handing Januzaj the chance to force his way into his plans, but it's expected that the youngster will leave the club on loan.

Januzaj, 21, quickly established himself as one of the most promising young attacking players in Europe during David Moyes' regime at the Theatre of Dreams, but he's failed to truly kick-on over the course of the last two years.

Indeed, he has struggled to make an impact recently and spent a disappointing period on loan at German outfit Borussia Dortmund last season.

Januzaj on his way out?

Mourinho side's succumbed to a 4-1 defeat to the German giants, but Januzaj looked sharp during the 25 minutes that he was on the field of play.

He will now be hoping to secure a place in the starting XI against rivals Manchester City on Monday.

Ultimately, though, it's going to be tough for Januzaj to establish himself as a key man for the club and it may be for the best if he leaves the club on loan.

With the likes of Memphis Depay, Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and co. all battling it out for places on the wing, there's going to be a great deal of competition at the club in the 2016/17 campaign.

The temporary spell at Dortmund may well have been one to forget, but there's no reason why Januzaj won't be able to succeed at another club.

Joining a team in the Premier League would most definitely stand him in good stead in his pursuit of long-term success at the Theatre of Dreams. It's going to be a tough challenge for the Belgium international, but he could still become a success story at United.
