When Kevin Durant announced his move to the Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder fans were absolutely crushed.
Not just fans of the team, but pretty much every sports fan in the state felt they had been betrayed by Durant when he decided to join Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and the Warriors.
Unfortunately for some OKC retailers, they still have a large amount of Durant-Thunder jerseys, which are now being sold for a ridiculous price.
An Academy Sports and Outdoors store in Oklahoma City has priced down the uniforms at an incredible discount, selling them for a measly 48 cents.
The replica jersey normally sells for $69.99, that's a saving of over 99%. Something tells us that even at such a low price, the jerseys won't exactly be in high demand.
"We didn't buy any. We were pretty upset with Durant," Keith Brooking, a shopper in the store told ESPN's Darren Rovell.
Thunder fans reacted as you would probably expect to the news of KD's exit, with mass burnings of Durant jerseys all across OKC. If they ever want to get some more anger out then it will only cost 48 cents a time. You could create a huge bonfire of the jerseys for about $20. What a bargain.
Durant signed a two-year, $54.3-million contract with the 73-win Golden State Warriors this summer. He played for the Thunder for nine years, being named the NBA's Most Valuable Player with OKC back in 2014.
