The saga surrounding Paul Pogba’s proposed move to Manchester United has rumbled on for numerous weeks now.
The Frenchman has seemingly been on the verge of a sensational return to Old Trafford but a deal doesn’t appear any closer than it did at the start of summer.
And there has been plenty of newspaper reports during that time. Some have even claimed that a transfer has already been agreed with Jose Mourinho’s side - something which was ultimately incorrect.

Last week, Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, tweeted: There is no deal done regarding Paul Pogba, lots of bla bla bla,” in response to the rumours surrounding his client.
And now, Adidas Football’s official Twitter account have posted a GIF regarding the situation. The clip shows Pogba reading a newspaper with the words ‘Blah, blah, blah’ next to a picture of himself.
Pogba is then seen shaking his head before saying “Don’t believe everything you read in the paper.”
Adidas captioned the video with “Ignore the blah, blah, blah. #FirstNeverFollows.”
While Adidas’ tweet certainly doesn’t clarify things, it may come as further bad news for United supporters - and they have expressed how worried they are on Twitter. Check out some of the replies to the video:
Mourinho’s side appeared to be the winners of a one-horse race for the signing of the midfielder after Real Madrid were reported to have pulled out of the transfer.
However, with United still failing to get the deal across the line, Zinedine Zidane’s side are getting increasingly confident of stealing 23-year-old from underneath the noses of the Old Trafford club.
Zidane on Pogba
And Zidane’s latest comments suggest that they are still well and truly in the fight to sign Pogba.
"In this moment we are still working [on a move for Pogba], and I cannot say anything more," the French coach was quoted as saying by Goal.
"Until Aug. 31 anything can happen, but today he is not a Real Madrid player and I cannot talk about what will happen.
"I always say how things are, but now is not the time to talk about this. A lot of clubs are interested in Pogba. Real Madrid always want the best players. But we owe Juventus respect, and I can't say anything more out of respect."
It’s often been reported that, if Pogba does leave Juventus, his preferred destination is Spain. With the European Champions now seemingly keen to try and bring him to the Bernabeu, United fans will no doubt be starting to get seriously worried.
It’s certainly been an intriguing saga but it doesn’t appear we’re any closer to discovering where Pogba will be playing next season. Juventus, Manchester United or Real Madrid? Don’t be surprised if we’re still asking that question many a few weeks yet.
