With the WWE now a lot more welcoming when it comes to signing talent from the biggest independent promotions from around the world, it was only a matter of time before a handful of the Cruiserweight Classic competitors were going to be offered deals.
The tournament boasts some of the finest Cruiserweights and the first set of names that are set to sign deals have been revealed.

Sabre Jr. was one of the favourites before the competition even began, and it won’t be a surprise to see the Brit go all the way, however, the good news is that he’s still expected to sign with the company in the near future.
He’s rumoured to sign with the WWE next year, as it seems like he has plenty of independent bookings he may not be able to get out of.
The good thing is that the anticipation will continue to build regarding his arrival, and there will be a spot open for him on NXT and maybe even Monday Night Raw as they’ve re-introduced the Cruiserweight division.
Other big names are expected to sign much sooner, perhaps as early as October this year. Noam Dar, Akira Tozawa, Cedric Alexander and TJ Perkins are some of the big names expected to sign with the WWE.
Two NXT fan favourites could finally sign WWE contracts at long last as well, with Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa set to be exclusive to the company once they finish their independent bookings.
Gran Metalik and Kota Ibushi have also reportedly inked deals with the WWE. However, Ibushi highlighted in a recent interview that he has yet to sign a deal with the company as he still has things he wants to achieve in Japan.
It’s an exciting time for the WWE Universe, as this influx of exciting Cruiserweights could take the roster by storm in the coming months.
