One of the big talking points following the WWE draft saw Cesaro speak his mind in an interview, with how he would have preferred to be on SmackDown Live, as he would have been used a lot better with the show that was more focused on wrestling ability.
On Monday Night Raw, it does seem like Cesaro will struggle to get into the main event picture with plenty of other stars vying for that top spot. However, although his comments may have landed him in some expected heat, it may not have been a bad move after all.
MILD BACKSTAGE HEAT
According to DailyWrestlingNews.com, the ‘rant’ by Cesaro got him some heat from those backstage, but it’s said to be ‘mild’, meaning there’s no danger of him being sent to the bottom of the card anytime soon.

It’s being rumoured that Vince McMahon respects stars that speak their mind, and has gone on to give them opportunities to prove themselves.
The biggest example of this is when CM Punk was given the chance to speak his mind, during the infamous ‘pipe bomb’ promo in the summer of 2011. His comments led to him receiving one of the biggest pushes in history, and it certainly helped him become the massive household name he is now.
This is, of course, a great way to keep Cesaro’s name in the limelight, and we saw a similar thing at Battleground when he continued to display his frustrations at having to miss out while Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were going to steal the show.
There’s a fine line here that Cesaro should be careful of crossing, if he continues how he is then the support for him should grow and eventually, he could receive a more prominent role on Raw.
If he crosses that line, then fans and Cesaro can wave goodbye to any potential push, but with the WWE now taking more risks than ever, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Cesaro involved in a high-profile feud relatively soon.
Especially since we saw a stare-off between the Swiss Superman and Roman Reigns to kick off Raw this week. Perhaps the WWE could be on to something there.
