Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has praised new signing Sadio Mane for his performance against Chelsea but has insisted that he can 'play much better'.
Mane, 24, joined the Merseyside outfit from Premier League club Southampton earlier on in this transfer window and enjoyed a steady outing during his side's pre-season showdown with the west London outfit.
The versatile midfielder failed to help Liverpool claim a result, however, as Antonio Conte's side picked up a 1-0 win thanks to a goal from England international Gary Cahill.

The game also saw Spaniard Cesc Fabregas pick up a straight red card following a poorly timed tackle on Ragnar Klavan.
As you can imagine, then, revered boss Klopp admitted that he wasn't satisfied with his side's showing and openly discussed his thoughts on the performances of Mane and Roberto Firmino.
He stated, as per the Liverpool Echo: "I'm not satisfied. It’s ok, no more. I’d rather lose here today than in the Premier League.
"Mane is a wonderful player. He can play much better but was good today. We had more ball possession and could have scored but we didn’t. We have to accept 1-0.
"Today was not the most wonderful day for Firmino but has been great in pre-season so far.
"The weather was good Which was probably a little bit of a surprise for a Liverpool game!"
Mane vs Chelsea
Liverpool may well have failed to truly test Chelsea's back-line in the US, but Reds chief Klopp certainly has a great deal of attacking talent available to him ahead of the new season.
As well as Mane, fellow new signing Georginio Wijnaldum, who didn't play against the Blues, should prove to be a fine coup for the club. Then there are the likes of Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana, who should all have important roles to play this term.
It certainly won't be easy for Klopp to find the right balance, but there's no reason why he won't be able to get it right over the course of the next few months.
The Reds face rivals Arsenal in their opening fixture of the new Premier League season.
