It's fair to say that Manchester United fans have been left feeling slightly concerned following reports that new manager Jose Mourinho is set to axe exciting defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah.
Indeed, the Daily Mail reported on Thursday that Fosu-Mensah could be one of nine players heading out of Old Trafford ahead of the new campaign.
In fact, speculation only continued today following Manchester United's squad announcement for their clash against Galatasaray in Sweden.

That's because the energetic defender wasn't named in Mourinho's 23-man squad for the fixture.
Ultimately, though, it appears that Fosu-Mensah, alongside fellow defender Chris Smalling, is out on the sidelines with an injury.
And for those still concerned that the youngster could depart the Theatre of Dreams over the coming weeks, his agent, Jonathan Barnet, has now had his say on the situation.
Barnet told Voetbal International: "All those rumors in media are from nowhere. Timothy Fosu-Mensah stays at Manchester United."
That's that then; Fosu-Mensah will be staying to fight for his place under Mourinho's regime.
The right-back position
But will he be handed a prominent role in the side? Well, that remains to be seen, of course, but there's every chance that the teenager will establish himself as the club's leading right-back sooner rather than later.
There's no doubt about it, Fosu-Mensah has all the attributes to become one of the best full-backs in Europe. As well as being tactically astute, the youngster is also extremely powerful and calm under pressure. He's by no means the finished product, but he certainly has something special about him.
Ahead of the new season, it appears that he will be battling it out with Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian for a place in the team.
Valencia, who spent a lengthy period on the sidelines last term, is a solid squad player but sometimes struggles defensively. Darmian, meanwhile, enjoyed a wonderful opening couple of months to his United career last season but failed to produce the goods on a consistent basis.
