Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has taken to social media after it was documented that he could be out of action for up to 10 weeks.
The 23-year-old suffered a broken hand during Liverpool's pre-season friendly defeat at the hands of rivals Chelsea on Thursday morning.
The shot-stopper only arrived on Merseyside from Bundesliga club Mainz 05 earlier on in this transfer window and has played a prominent role for Jurgen Klopp's side throughout the course of pre-season.

Now, though, he's set to miss at least the opening month of the new Premier League campaign.
Unsurprisingly, then, he has reacted to the news on social media and has insisted that he will continue to chase his dreams.
The 'keeper tweeted: "I'll do everything to come back as soon as I can. I won't let a broken hand stop me from chasing my dreams! 👊🏼💪🏼 #LK1."
Liverpool fans duly reacted to his tweet and, while the majority of them were extremely sympathetic, others were already getting worried by the prospect of Simon Mignolet replacing Karius in the team.
Here's how they reacted:
Mignolet or Manninger
It's expected, then, that Mignolet will take up his place in goal ahead of the club's opening weekend encounter against rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
There is, of course, also the possibility that 39-year-old goalkeeper Alex Manninger could claim a place in the side, but that is surely unlikely at this stage. An injury to Mignolet, though, really could see the veteran line up against his former club in north London.
The club's immediate attention, however, will be on their clash against Italian outfit AC Milan at the Levi's Stadium.
After losing 1-0 to Chelsea in their last outing, Klopp's side will be hoping to bounce back against the Serie A club. With the Premier League season just two weeks away, now is the time for Liverpool's elite stars to step up.
