Trying to predict Arsene Wenger's dealings in the transfer window is always a thankless task.

Rob Holding, 20, has already arrived from Bolton, but there is still room for one more. A promising international, like Shkodran Mustafi, perhaps? Nope. West Brom's very own Jonny Evans.
Ordinarily, Gunners fans might be pleased to hear that their club were lining up a move for a former Manchester United defender.
It's safe to say, strangely enough, they're not very happy about this one.
Cue complete meltdown on Twitter, probably justifiably. A lot of fans seem to think this is the Mirror, who started the story, running some kind of a sick joke. Or maybe Wenger's the joker, who really knows with Arsenal anymore?
Perhaps the best part in all this is that Mustafi should be available for £20million, just £5million more than the Northern Irishman.
Wenger's already said that Arsenal are being careful with their spending (no, really?) but this is something else.
The good news is that his hilarious transfer dealings don't really seem to have any effect either way anymore, so Evans shouldn't be able to intervene in the Gunners mounting another failed title bid, rest assured.
