Liverpool secured a hard-fought 2-0 win over AC Milan during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The win came courtesy of second-half goals from Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino and left Jurgen Klopp praising his squad's dominant performance.
However, while Klopp was keen to praise the efforts of the whole team, Liverpool fans themselves weren't so kind as one oft-maligned midfielder incurred the wrath of social media for what is being seen as another lackluster display.

Despite only being on the pitch for the second half, Lazar Markovic still managed to rile up the Anfield faithful, many of whom were left far from impressed with what the Serbian winger had to offer.
Guilty of wasting good attacking opportunities and giving away possession too cheaply, his 45 minute stint against Milan won't go down as the turning point in Markovic's Liverpool career.
Having arrived on Merseyside for a hefty £20 million back in 2014, he has struggled to prove his worth in a Liverpool shirt, and it doesn't look like he has convinced fans during this pre-season.
The pacey winger spent last year out on loan at Fenerbache and there was some hope he could return and thrive under Klopp.
At this stage, however, it looks like Liverpool fans want him as far away from the starting lineup as possible.
That wish could become a reality soon, with the Serbian one of those touted as being available for transfer as Klopp looks to make the final adjustments ahead of his first full season in charge.
