Bruma claims the Portuguese coach has promised to keep an eye on his performances for Galatasaray this season.
If that’s not motivation to perform well, we don’t know what is.
“Mourinho told me he was impressed with my performance and that if I continue I will get back into the Portugal national team,” Bruma told reporters, per O Jogo.
“Of course it was amazing to hear this from Mourinho and he said he will keep an eye on how I do this season.”

Man United cruise to victory
O Jogo’s report claims that Bruma, who spent last season out on loan at Real Sociedad, has made his desire to leave Galatasaray clear, with PSV Eindhoven interested.
But knowing that Mourinho is watching will surely make him strive for bigger heights than the Eredivisie.
The winger gave Galatasaray the lead in Saturday’s match with a glorious goal from outside the area before United rallied.
Ibra's debut goal
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored on his debut with an acrobatic scissor kick in the 4th minute. Then, in the second half, Wayne Rooney’s brace turned the game around and goals from Marouane Fellaini and Juan Mata sealed the win.
And with Memphis Depay and Marcus Rashford impressing, it was a fine evening for Mourinho after United’s chaotic tour of China.
“I think everyone gave everything to improve. And even with the guys who came on at 4-2, I told them to forget the result, don't play like we are winning 4-2. 'You need this 30 minutes to play high tempo, high intensity, forget the 4-2.' That's what they all tried to do,” Mourinho reflected, per United’s official website.
“Of course Marcus did well. Of course Ibra did show glimpses of the things he can bring us. But when I see guys like Fellaini, Martial, [Morgan] Schneiderlin, they trained two days and they can be here. I told them, 'Don't try to go with the intensity of the game, go with an intensity that makes you comfortable.’”
