During his 12 seasons as a Manchester United player, Wayne Rooney has had more than his fair share of standout moments at the club's Old Trafford home ground.
The England striker has 252 appearances at the Theatre of Dreams under his belt in United red and, having won numerous trophies during that time, he has no shortage of good memories associated with the famous arena.
Speaking on his official website ahead of his testimonial - against former club Everton this weekend - Rooney has, though, managed to select the three Old Trafford moments that stand out the most from his time at the club. Number two was an absolute classic of a game.

3) Manchester United vs AC Milan, 2007
Scoring a last minute winner in a come-from-behind victory against a European giant in the semi final of the UEFA Champions League - it isn't difficult to see why Rooney has chosen this 2007 encounter against Milan at number three.
"...The 3-2 semi-final win against AC Milan in 2007, it was a massive game and to score two goals was brilliant," the veteran forward told his official website.
Still only 21 at the time, it was arguably one of Rooney's biggest moments in his career at that point.
2) Manchester United vs Manchester City, 2009
Often listed as the best Manchester derby of all-time, the 4-3 win for United will live long in the memory of everyone associated with both the blue and red halves of the city.
Rooney himself put United ahead with an early goal in the game that marked Carlos Tevez's return to Old Trafford after his summer switch to City.
But it was Michael Owen's winner six minutes into injury time that is what stands out for the current United skipper.
"I’ll go with the 4-3 win against Manchester City when Michael Owen scored the winner in stoppage time, the atmosphere was unbelievable," he said.
1) Manchester United vs Fenerbahce, 2004
This was always going to rank as Rooney's greatest ever Old Trafford moment, and for good reason.
With the weight of a £27 million price tag hanging around his teenage shoulders, Rooney sent the ground into pandemonium with a stunning debut hattrick.
"My favourite would have to be my debut against Fernabache. To score a hat-trick on my debut in the Champions League is certainly something I’ll never forget – it was an amazing feeling."
It might not have been as an important a game as the two others, but for Rooney his first ever United appearance at the Theatre of Dreams remains the one that tops all others.
