Jose Mourinho has given Manchester United fans something else to get excited about after confirming the club will be signing one more player before the transfer window closes.
The Red Devils are widely believed to be closing in on a £100million deal for Juventus star Paul Pogba and anticipation has reached fever pitch amongst their supporters.
Journalists in both England and Italy appear to be fighting to announce the transfer first with several reports claiming a deal is done and dusted.
That appears to be far from the case, but Mourinho seems confident of completing the transfer before the window shuts.
That, of course, is assuming that Mourinho was talking about Pogba. He refused to speak directly about the France international because he said he was "a Juventus player". He did, however, go as far to say that he was "sure" United would be bringing in that one player.
Speaking at Wayne Rooney's testimonial, he said: "We are going to sign one more player. That is for sure. I don't want to speak about Paul because he is a Juventus player and I don't like other managers to speak about my players so I don't speak about their players.
"But the reality is that we are going to sign one more player. The market closes 31 August so we have plenty of time but obviously I would like to do it before the Premier League starts."
Who else could he be talking about?
Of course, Mourinho was clever with his words. If the Pogba deal still has a chance of collapsing, the Portuguese still has every intention of signing another midfielder.
If he was not talking about Pogba, then there are a few others that he could be. There are believed to be two alternatives to the 23-year-old with PSG's Blaise Matuidi and Chelsea's Nemanja Matic targeted as back-ups while an experienced defender is also on the wish list.
Pogba's No.10 gone?
Matters went further when an official Adidas shop in Paris displayed what appeared to be Juventus shirts showing Paulo Dybala as the club's new No.10. That has been Pogba's number in Turin and the fact it has been redistributed suggest he could be leaving.
