Penney: I'm in charge

Darlington boss Dave Penney has reiterated that he is in charge of all transfer-related decisions at the League Two club.

Penney used his programme notes in Saturday's home game against Accrington to hit out at various newspaper reports questioning where responsibility for transfer dealings at the club lay.

However, Penney said: "There's all sorts of shenanigans in the press."

He added: "The be-all and end-all is that I make the final decisions about who comes to the football club.

He added: "I'll speak to people I need to speak to and some kind of a statement will be released telling people how it really is."
