When Paul Pogba first signed a lucrative contract with Juventus, the first thing he did was hire a full-time nutritionist to make sure he always ate the right thing and a personal physiotherapist to keep him in tip-top shape.
It is that kind of attitude that has seen the French midfielder rise to the very top of world football, at least as far as transfer fees go. He may be a few years away from winning the Ballon d'Or but he is set to become the most expensive player of all time very soon.
Manchester United are about to pay £100m to get the player they lost four years ago back. It is a massive climb down for some at Old Trafford but Jose Mourinho's insistence has won through.
For their money, the Red Devils are getting one of the most driven individuals in sport. And the Daily Mail have given Manchester United fans the perfect example of just how committed Pogba is to the cause.
They say Pogba has used his holiday to study hours of footage from Manchester United's last season to make sure he is completely up to speed with his new team-mates. The fact that the club have changed managers since then makes any observation regarding tactics obsolete, but Pogba wants to give himself every chance of hitting the ground running at Old Trafford.
Louis van Gaal was axed shortly after United's FA Cup triumph in May and Mourinho earlier admitted that his team will be significantly different from the Dutchman's.
He told reporters: "You say my teams are different to Mr Van Gaal's and that is correct - I'm not saying better - yes my teams are different. It's difficult to change the dynamic. It would be easier to have 22 new players and start from zero.
"For two years they had principles and I have to change them. There are things in their brain that are automatic and that is difficult to change. My team is going to be my team."
By all accounts, the deal is as good as done with Manchester United and Juventus simply ratifying the minute details. Some say his arrival could be confirmed before Sunday's Community Shield, others say next week.
It remains to be seen whether Pogba will ever return to Turin with the player still enjoying his last few days of holiday following his Euro 2016 exploits.
The 23-year-old has been actively publicising his holiday on social media with a number of posts detailing exactly where he has been. Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York have all been on his hit list but a return to Europe beckons. The question remains, however: where will he be flying to?
