Tommy Dreamer reveals he turned down a WWE contract

Published 2 Comments

The WWE brand split is two weeks old now and the dust is starting to settle on the new rosters and how they are shaping up.

The SmackDown Live roster is struggling for star power and because of that, they have already brought in Shelton Benjamin to try and add to the mid-card, with Curt Hawkins also apparently coming in.

And it seems like the WWE are trying to bring in even more veteran superstars. However, one has already turned them down.

Tommy Dreamer appeared in an interview with the WNS Podcast and revealed that he was approached by the WWE but had to turn them down.

"I have been talking with WWE a lot. They wanted me to come back and I basically just said I have so many commitments with House Of Hardcore," Dreamer said.

Dreamer admitted he would still like to come back to WWE, though.

"I'd love to come back, I'd love to help. Kind of like what I did the last time when I went back. I just can't sign a contract right now."

"I can't give up my own company and I can't give up on my own dreams and I don't want to ever be competition with WWE. I just want to show an alternative product," he added.

Will we ever see Tommy Dreamer back in the WWE? It looks possible. But hopefully it would be as a manager this time rather than as a performer.
