Gone are the days it seems of Daniel Bryan wrestling in the ring and wowing WWE fans with his acrobatics but he’s still firmly at the forefront of the organisation in a different role.
The former WWE champion was appointed by Shane McMahon as the new general manager of SmackDown last month.
Bryan even played a vital role in the WWE draft when he and McMahon selected current champion Dean Ambrose with their first overall pick.

And now he’s coming to the fore again but this time on WWE’s flagship programme, Monday Night Raw, with Bryan set to make an appearance on its next instalment.
Raw’s general manager is of course Mick Foley and the legend has decided to call on Bryan for the upcoming event, with WWE posing the question on their website about whether things will stay friendly between Team Red and Team Blue. The likely answer to that is no.
But for WWE fans it’s great to see Bryan on show as much as possible considering the rough time he’s had with injuries over the last couple of years. Bryan gave up his title following his issues which left most of the WWE Universe shattered.
He’s now, however, enjoying a different role as WWE pit Raw against SmackDown in the lead up to the anticipated SummerSlam clash between Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar. Orton invaded Raw to attack Lesnar last week and the latter retaliated the following night.
Foley has now invited Bryan onto Raw but it remains to be seen whether this is a friendly gesture or an ambush.
