WWE officials want Eva Marie to be a huge SmackDown Live star.

Eva Marie set for a huge push on SmackDown Live

Published 4 Comments

Eva Marie played a strange role on SmackDown Live earlier this week, despite having a flamboyant entrance and a lot of hype leading up to her match with Becky Lynch, there was no contest.

She feigned an injury which resulted in the referee calling off the match. This obviously doesn’t bode well for her considering the WWE Universe are already booing her, however, this is all said to be part of a plan with Eva Marie.

According to RingSideNews.com, WWE officials are still high on Eva Marie, and she’s said to be receiving a huge push in the women’s division on SmackDown.

The officials see Eva Marie as the future face of SmackDown’s women’s division, and they believe she is what a female superstar should look like, due to her unique look and her polarising character.

They might struggle to turn her into the face, though, especially when Becky Lynch is on the same roster and is arguably the most popular female superstar in all of WWE today.

Not only that, the WWE Universe are already booing her and if there’s an anti-climax to this injury angle and she doesn’t put on an excellent match, there might be a problem.

Having her as the top heel might be an easier task regardless of the nuclear heat. Fans will have more of a reason to dislike her if she continues to sit on top of the women’s division, while it should also help build faces in the women’s division.

Kaleidoscope Ball - Red Carpet

It’ll be interesting to see how much Eva Marie has improved, especially since she’s been drafted to SmackDown Live, the show that focuses more on the wrestling.

Plus, with Daniel Bryan letting it slip that they’re in the process of creating a new Women’s Championship for SmackDown, it might not be a huge surprise to see her as the champion in the near future.
