Manchester United have moved a step closer to signing Paul Pogba.
The long-running transfer saga is nearing an end, thankfully, as Jose Mourinho nears completion of his fourth summer signing.
The United manager wanted Pogba to fly in to Manchester this weekend to dot the i’s and cross the t’s, and he’s got reportedly his wish.

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, the Juventus player landed in England on Saturday, with a medical taking place tomorrow.
It means the deal that will see the £100 million man become the most expensive player in football history will, at last, be finalised.
It’s as much a relief to every football fan than it is Manchester United supporters that the palaver has reached a conclusion. Given all the build up, Pogba had better produce the goods.
He arrived in Manchester this evening in secrecy, supposedly to avoid the attention of journalists, fans and other curious parties.
It means there are no snaps of the France international on English soil, but it’s hard to imagine Gazzetta making this up.
Mourinho would have surely wanted Pogba to join his squad for their trip to China, or in time for tomorrow’s Community Shield match against Leicester, but the 23-year-old has enjoyed an extended break following Euro 2016.
He’s spent much of his holidays in the United States, playing basketball with Romelu Lukaku, playing football with Antoine Griezmann and former NFL star Chad Johnson, and even attending a Drake concert.
But now, it’s back to the day job for a man set to earn more than £200,000-a-week at United.
