This time next week, Arsenal will be getting ready to take to the field in their opening Premier League fixture against Liverpool.
Before then, Gooners will be desperate for Arsene Wenger to add a couple of new faces to their squad.
This summer, they moved early to secure the services of Granit Xhaka for £30m but, since then, the arrivals of Rob Holding from Bolton and Japanese striker Takuma Asano have done very little to excite the fanbase.
The previous couple of weeks has seen the club linked with numerous top quality players with Wenger reportedly keen on the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Julian Draxler and Shkodran Mustafi.
However, there’s one player that Arsenal fans want to sign even more. That, of course, is Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez.
The Algerian was magnificent for the Foxes last season as they strolled to an incredible Premier League title, scoring 17 goals and providing a further 11. Claudio Ranieri has publicly urged his star man to remain at the King Power Stadium amid interest from the Gunners, while supporters of the north London club are desperate for Wenger to make a move.
In fact, they’re so desperate that they’ve starting pleading with the Frenchman to sign him. That’s what one fan did on Sunday when he asked if they were going to sign Mahrez. However, he didn’t exactly get the desired response. Check out the video below:
If you couldn’t quite make it out, Wenger replied to the Mahrez question by saying: “We have plenty of players.”
While we shouldn’t take his comments too seriously, Wenger may be hinting at the Arsenal fans to be satisfied with the players in the current squad, rather than talking about Mahrez.
While a move for the Leicester winger may not be on the cards, reports are suggesting that Wenger is keen to sign a central defender and a striker this summer.
But time is running out and Arsenal fans are clearly getting impatient.
