The battle of the top two ended in stalemate as neither Bury nor Wycombe could score the goal that would have established daylight at the top of Coca-Cola League Two.

The 0-0 draw at Gigg Lane leaves Bury with the slenderest of advantages in the title race, leading by one on goal difference.

Wanderers thought they had scored the winner after 63 minutes when John Mousinho's corner was headed goalwards by David McCracken.

Wayne Brown pulled off a fine reflex save but the visitors claimed, to no avail, that the ball had crossed the line.

Third also played fourth but there was a victor in that encounter, Shrewsbury scoring unanswered goals in each half to replace Bradford just behind the front two.

Ben Davies scored the first after six minutes, but it was not until the last minute that Richard Walker made the points safe.
