Injured WWE star Emma is training again as she prepares for her WWE return. Emma said on Twitter that she has been working out, and she has also been doing some filming with noted sports photographer Jon Lorentz.

The Australian WWE superstar hurt her back in May and has been out of action since. It was a blow for both Emma and the company as she was just beginning a push up the card when she got hurt.

Emma has been through a number of character changes both on NXT and the main roster. It was as an evil, sarcastic heel however that she finally got over with the fans enough to begin a main roster push.

It is easy to forget this now, but Dana Brooke was initially called up to be the muscle behind Emma as part of her push. Plans were quickly changed after Emma injured her back however, and Brooke was instead moved alongside Charlotte when the then WWE Women's Champion kicked her father to the side.

It is hard to see Brooke reunited with Emma immediately given that the WWE seems to like how she is working with Charlotte. Therefore any reunion between the two would have to be further down the line.

When Emma does return to the WWE it could be on either brand. She, along with other injured superstars like Luke Harper and Tamina, were not eligible for selection in the recent WWE Draft. This gives the writers the ability to bring her back to whichever brand makes the most sense at the time.

Given the relative strength of the women's division on each roster it would make sense for Emma to be on Smackdown when she returns. As she continues to train and get stranger, that return could be sooner than expected.
