The reason Triple H wasn’t included in the WWE draft was that there were questions over his in-ring future, and the decision to compete at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando will be entirely his decision, whenever he decides to make it.
This week, it’s been reported that he has yet to determine who he wants to work opposite as many WWE officials believe that The Game intends to battle an up-and-coming star, rather than established star on the main roster.
TRIPLE H DOESN'T WANT SHANE O'MAC
That means we could have somebody like Finn Balor, who was only recently moved up, taking on Triple H. Perhaps even Shinsuke Nakamura or Samoa Joe who are prominent figures on NXT.

Again, these are rumours.
However, despite his desire to not compete against an established star, the one person Triple H is determined not to go up against in Shane McMahon.

DailyWrestlingNews.com have reported that Triple H is against the idea of facing his real-life brother-in-law, despite Vince McMahon bringing up the idea numerous times that the two could face off in a ‘loser leaves town’ match.
There have been plenty of rumours regarding the genuine tension between the pair as well as the McMahon family, but it’s something that Vince feeds off.
VINCE WANTS IT
He believes that real-life heat translates into quality storytelling, but it will be interesting to see how this one turns out, especially since Triple H has a lot more backstage power now, with Vince still getting the final say.
Many are surprised that Shane is still on television, considering he lost to The Undertaker at WrestleMania which meant he shouldn’t have been seen since.
Instead, it’s Triple H that’s been off camera since dropping the WWE Championship to Roman Reigns.
Before the plans of the draft emerged, it was thought that Triple H would return before SummerSlam and take on Shane to gain control once more, but that doesn’t seem to be the case either.
Now, Vince is determined to make WrestleMania 33 a lot better than this year’s WrestleMania.
Rumours have it that Brock Lesnar will be the WWE Universal Champion, John Cena could be battling Reigns or The Undertaker, and this is why he wants another blockbuster match added to the card in Shane vs. Triple H.
We’ll have to wait and see whether The Game can talk his way out of this one.
