Grant Holt spectacularly smashed five as Shrewsbury demolished Wycombe 7-0 in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy at Adams Park, emphasising the visitors' promotion credentials against the League Two leaders.

Having bagged two in the opening 27 minutes, Town's record signing added a further three in eight second-half minutes, the pick a stunning 22-yard volley, as the Shrews cruised to the area quarter-finals.

Swindon fought back to secure a place in the third round as goals from Simon Cox and Lee Peacock saw off Hereford 2-1.

Winger Matt Done put Hereford in front on the half-hour but the Robins hit back to progress with goals in the 45th and 84th minutes.

Walsall hit back from a goal down to sink Cheltenham 2-1. The Robins took a fourth-minute lead when Ben Gill cut the ball back for transfer-listed winger Josh Low to side-foot home from 10 yards.

But Walsall's pressure told on the hour when Richard Taundry crossed for Ibehre to head home, and the winner came after 74 minutes when Chris Palmer's cross was touched home by the head of Ricketts to send Walsall into the next round.
