WWE's recent Brand Split provided a number of new and exciting opportunities for various WWE superstars, with Daniel Bryan proving no exception.

Bryan was deservedly appointed general manager of SmackDown Live by Shane McMahon, but everyone's favourite 'yes!' man also landed himself another huge role.

The WWE Network's Cruiserweight Classic has been the topic of much discussion amongst members of the WWE Universe for sometime now, with Bryan becoming increasingly popular as Mauro Ranallo's co-commentator on the show.

Wrong idea

As Wrestling Inc has reported, during an interview with IGN D-Bry made it clear he was not happy about the Cruiserweight Division being part of Monday Night Raw, especially considering his heavy involvement with the WWE Network programme.

He stated: "I'm kind of bitter about it, actually. Why does RAW get the Cruiserweights? Me and Mauro are the ones calling it on the Classic and everything and they're the ones I want on SmackDown Live."

Although the 35-year-old was firm in expressing his view on this subject, he went on to say how his current position under WWE actually gives him little power: "I don't control much. I may be GM, but I don't control much."

Yes man

While WWE have made what will see to many as an obvious mistake in having the Cruiserweight competitors only on Monday Night Raw, fans should still appreciate the existence of the division.

WWE's Cruiserweight Classic has proved to be a hugely popular idea with the idea of the talent bein called up to the main roster surely proving to be beneficial to the company and other current superstars.

As well as this, the company is still able to promote the popularity of Daniel Bryan, whether it be through commentary on the CWC or as GM of SmackDown Live.

Whilst the CWC talent and D-Bry may not be together on the main roster for now at least, WWE would be making a promising move should they reunite them somewhere down the line.
