Since the Brand Split came into place, the female WWE superstars across both rosters have yet to be given the opportunity to truly showcase their talent.
With the likes of former NXT sensation Carmella being drafted to SmackDown Live whilst the powerhouse name of Nia Jax is now representing Raw, both brands have plenty of options with regard to matches and angles.
WWE however appear to be favouring the method of not prioritising the female talent as individuals, as proven by the six-woman tag team match which as Cageside Seats has reported, has been confirmed for SummerSlam.

The SummerSlam pay-per-view event, which takes place this coming Sunday night live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, will play host to a match including several female wrestlers with huge potential.
The bout will see SmackDown Live's female superstars represent the brand as Becky Lynch, Naomi and Carmella take on the team of Natalya, Alexa Bliss and Eva Marie.
Whilst this booking may be deemed as an easy option for WWE to choose by many fans, it still provides the opportunity for stars such as Carmella and Naomi in particular to prove their worth on a big stage.
Although the WWE Brand Split was seen as a welcome change by many members of the WWE Universe, the company is yet to produce any memorable and worthwhile matches or feuds between its female wrestlers on either brand.
Whilst it is still early days in relation to the new era of the Brand Split, those in charge must not forget about the abilities of those who make up the women's division, not least because of new and exciting additions called up from the NXT roster.
One female WWE superstar who fans will be particularly interested to see in the match will be Eva Marie, given the number of untimely obstacles which have prevented her from wrestling in recent weeks.
