Fletcher set for Forest switch

Published Add your comment

Crystal Palace midfielder Carl Fletcher is set to join Championship rivals Nottingham Forest on a six-week loan deal.

The combative 28-year-old, who played for Wales in their narrow 1-0 World Cup qualifying defeat in Germany on Wednesday night, should go into the Forest squad for Saturday's trip to QPR once the deal is completed.

Fletcher joined Palace from West Ham for £400,000 in 2006 when Peter Taylor was in charge, but has struggled to hold down a regular first-team spot since Neil Warnock took over last October and was transfer-listed earlier this season.
