Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba involved in funny TV interview after Southampton win

Published 1 Comments

Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have only been teammates for Manchester United for a couple of weeks, but the two superstar summer signings have already struck up an endearing bromance.

This has been particularly evident on social media - the two players have recorded a couple of videos together, while Pogba has nicknamed Zlatan ‘Thor’ - and we all saw their friendship blossom even further during a live TV interview on Sky Sports shortly after United’s 2-0 victory over Southampton.

Geoff Shreeves was interviewing the two United players after the match - and Zlatan couldn’t resist having a cheeky dig at Pogba for failing to pass the ball to him towards the end of the 90 minutes. (Scroll down this page to watch the video).

Ibrahimovic was on a hat-trick after scoring a goal either side of half-time and could have scored his third of the night had Pogba opted to pick out his teammate; however, the Frenchman shot wide of the target.

Shreeves asked Pogba about the chance after the match, and Zlatan’s reaction was priceless.

The conversation

“It looked like it was all set up for you to score,” Shreeves said to Pogba, before Ibrahimovic interested with the words: “Pass the ball.”

“Yeah, that’s what he said, I have to see it again on the replay,” Pogba responded.

Zlatan, smiling, then said: “Next time, pass!”

Pogba laughed then said: “I’m happy for the team. If we win that’s the most important thing.”

Shreeves then turned to Zlatan and said: “I thought you said it didn’t matter who scored?”

The 34-year-old, giving Pogba a funny look, then added: “Yeah, but this time he should have passed.”

However, Pogba made amends by passing the Man of the Match award to his charismatic team-mates.

These two will form a brilliant double-act, you suspect, as the season progresses.
