Greer admits 'nightmare' spell

Published Add your comment

Doncaster defender Gordon Greer has admitted his frustration at the injury problems which have blighted his time with Rovers.

The Scot has been out of action since December 4, 2007 after sustaining a hip cartilage injury which required surgery the following month.

The 27-year-old hopes to step up his recovery in the coming weeks and may push for a return to the side, but admitted to the Sheffield Star: "It has been a bit of an injury nightmare for me ever since I came to the club."

He added: "I was at Wembley for the League One play-off final against Leeds. But I knew that I wouldn't be playing so I wasn't disappointed not to be involved."
