Roberts set for exit

On-loan Crewe midfielder Gary Roberts is set to complete a permanent move to Yeovil following the League One game between the two sides on Tuesday evening.

The 21-year-old, a product of the youth system at Gresty Road, has been on loan at Yeovil since the start of the season.

A deal, which includes a small fee, is in place for Roberts to join the Glovers later this week.

"Yeovil are keen to keep Gary and we have come to an agreement to allow him to do that," First-team coach Steve Holland told Crewe's official website. "That was always our intention and I am sure something will be concluded later this week after the game on Tuesday night.

"There will be a small fee involved and a sell-on clause because I have always thought he was a player capable of playing at a high level. He lost his way a bit here but he is still a very good footballer. I am sure the move to Yeovil will serve him well."

Roberts' loan agreement means he is not eligible to play against Crewe at Huish Park.
