On a night where Shinsuke Nakamura dethroned Samoa Joe to become the new NXT Champion, TakeOver: Brooklyn 2 proved to be a highly successful event with brilliant matches and equally impressive entrances.

While the fans were treated to a live violin rendition of Nakamura’s “The Rising Sun” theme – which gave a clear indication which way the match was going – it was Bobby Roode’s entrance that left the fans in awe.

GLORIOUS ENTRANCE

This was Roode’s first TakeOver match, and with so much experience and hype behind him, it was evident from the get-go that Triple H was going to ensure they went all out for Roode, which you can see in the video below.

The entrance was indeed ‘glorious’ and the rowdy Brooklyn crowd belted out the lyrics on his way to the ring.

It’s also common knowledge that when you receive a special entrance, whether it be on NXT or even on the main roster, you bring a lot of importance to the roster and Roode was no different.

Roode’s special entrance saw him stand on a platform, with the spotlight focusing on his glorious stance as he was lowered to the ground; a perfect way to introduce him to the NXT fans.

DEBUT WIN

It wasn’t an easy match to call down the middle either, as NXT officials are said to be high on Andrade Almas.

However, Roode still managed to pick up a big win after hitting the Glorious Bomb for the victory.

While the match itself wasn’t a must-watch, his entrance certainly is. It may even go down as the greatest NXT entrance of all time, with the Brooklyn crowd playing a huge part in making it memorable.

Not only does he look perfect NXT material, but the veteran also looks ready-made for the main roster.
