The stars of the WWE have been out promoting the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view, and with ESPN’s excellent relationship with the company, it came as no surprise that they sent Seth Rollins out there to appear on First Take.
As a heel, it’s obviously Rollins’ job to be arrogant, but also to hype up his match at SummerSlam, where he’ll be battling Finn Balor for the brand new WWE Universal Championship.
During his appearance, the former WWE Champion didn’t hold back. He called out Bill Goldberg, saying he’d wrestle him any day because he’s past his prime.

He then targeted the Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, stating he’s on the decline.
However, it was certain comments he made before his interview which could lead to something huge in the future.
As you can see in the video bellow, Rollins called out none other than The Rock, telling him he can smell what he’s cooking, and The Rock probably won’t like what Rollins says he can smell.
This wasn’t a podcast appearance or a small-time interview either; this was on First Take which is a high rated show and watched by millions.
WILL THE GREAT ONE RESPOND?
So it won’t be too long before The Great One comes across this, and potentially responds to the comments that were made by Rollins.
There’s probably one of two things we can expect, either he’ll respond with a funny comment of his own to Tweet to the potential Universal Champion or give his seal of approval to The Man, or we could be in line for a feud, should The Rock want to return to the ring.
Until then, you can watch a Periscope from the host of First Take, Stephen A. Smith, as he too can’t believe the audacity of Rollins when calling out the legends of the business, all in good fun, of course.
