Seth Rollins hits out at WWE fans after SummerSlam

Published 13 Comments

WWE SummerSlam was yesterday and fans are focusing on two things, the bewildering main event finish between Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton, and how bad the pay-per-view was in general.

The WWE Universe had to sit through six hours of action on Sunday night, which as you can imagine left the crowd in Brooklyn feeling pretty tired and potential a bit irritated as the event wore on into the night.

One wrestler who wasn't appreciative of the crowd reaction is Seth Rollins, who took to Twitter after the event to hit out at the fans in attendance.

When the WWE Universal Title was revealed during the show, it received some disparaging comments because of its incredibly gaudy nature. There was also a lot of boos, so many boos. Seth did not like that.

"More important than a title's appearance is what it represents for the men fighting over it. You really let me down tonight, Brooklyn," he said just hours after his match finished.

To be fair to the crowd, the belt does look like it was made by Eva "All Red Everything" Marie. It's like a low-effort version of the Women's Championship.

I really don't understand why they would go with this horrible looking leather. The WWE championships are normally so clean and crisp.

Mick Foley agreed with Rollins, saying that the crowd should not have done so much to take away from the spectacle, calling fans "juvenile and disrespectful."
