SummerSlam's two-hour kick-off show boasted The Dudley Boys vs Sami Zayn and Neville as one of the matches, which left fans confused as to why two singles superstars had been thrown together against an established tag team.
Recent reports now confirm that Zayn and Neville are set to continue as a tag team for the foreseeable future because WWE are desperate to add more teams in their tag division.
Coming out of his highly impressive match against Kevin Owens at WWE Battleground it is said that WWE had no plans for Sami Zayn so they decided a partnership with Neville could be a mutually beneficial partnership for both men.

WWE have recently put together the team of Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens, a partnership that many fans thought would not work out because of the size of both men's egos.
Shockingly the team now known as Jeri-KO has become one of the most exciting teams in WWE currently with the duo working very well as a team and delivering some memorable promos both backstage and in the ring.
Sami Zayn and Neville could easily be another unlikely partnership that could become legitimate contenders to fight for the Tag Team Championships that are currently held by The New Day. Neither man has had the push they had earned when they made their debut on the main roster so this could finally be a way for both of them to get what they deserve.

TAG TEAM DIVISION
SmackDown currently has much more depth in their Tag Team Division but they don't have any tag team titles, which means that Raw are being forced to step up their division.
The likes of American Alpha, The Vaudevillians, The Usos, The Hype Bros, The Ascension and Breezedango made their way over to SmackDown during the draft whilst the likes of Enzo and Cass, The New Day, The Club, Golden Truth, The Shining Stars and The Dudley Boys headed over to Raw.
Following the retirement of The Dudley Boys, there are only five functioning tag teams on the Raw roster, it seems the red brand want to bring more excitement to the tag team division by putting together unlikely stars that leave fans in suspense wondering if they could co-exist. As SummerSlam showed, Sami and Neville seem to already be on the same page.
