Another game, another comical Jordan Henderson highlights video.

A Twitter user went to the effort of compiling the Liverpool midfielder’s worst moments in Saturday’s 2-0 defeat against Burnley in a video that has received close to 6,000 retweets.

That same Twitter user was at it again last night. Liverpool thrashed Burton Albion 5-0 in the EFL Cup but Henderson couldn’t escape the criticism for another performance filled with misplaced passes, loose touches and missed tackles.

Henderson has huge boots to fill as Steven Gerrard’s successor as Liverpool captain and it’s clear the 26-year-old has a long way to go before he can be mentioned in the same breath as the club legend.

Certainly the last thing he needs is humiliating videos of his performances going viral on social media.

Henderson's performance v Burton

"Jordan Henderson is a Fiat"

Liverpool supporters were less than happy with the former Sunderland man’s performance.

Can suffered an injury

Henderson’s performance was the one of two negatives as Liverpool reached the third round of the EFL Cup in convincing style.

Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino gave the Reds a half-time lead and when Burton’s Tom Naylor put through his own net, the tie was over. Daniel Sturridge completed the rout with two late goals.

But Emre Can suffered an ankle injury in the second half - going down without any contact - and Jurgen Klopp admitted that the German is “a little bit worried”.

“He had a little pain in his ankle without any touch - I couldn't see any contact,” Klopp said, per Liverpool’s website. It was a long leg, then a little bit floppy and then he had pain.

“But it is not that serious. It's not that big [of a] pain anymore, but it's the ankle he had problems with at the end of last season, so he's a little bit worried.

“Hopefully it's nothing too serious.”

Liverpool fans are also hopeful it’s not too serious, for injury to Can means plenty more minutes for Henderson.
