Thomas clearly has very few regrets over the monstrous hit that broke his windscreen, as he proclaimed on ESPN: “If I could do it again then I definitely would."
Thomas was informed of the breakage in the next innings when some players in the dugout burst out with laughter upon hearing the news.
The former New York Yankees player purposely parked his car further away from the stadium to avoid the possibility of an incident like this, however, he clearly underestimated his own strengths and ability.
Thomas was stunned that anyone could've hit the ball so far, especially himself. “I couldn’t believe it. I knew where I’d parked but I didn’t think anyone was going to hit it out there, let alone myself. So it’s pretty crazy."

The most difficult part of the night for Thomas would've come on the way home, as he had an immense struggle in driving his stricken motor back home.
“I had to drive home with my head hanging out the window because it’s smack dab right where I look out.
The main positive to come out of this for Thomas is after the incident went viral, someone has offered to pay for the damage he caused to his car, relieving him of that particular financial strain.
The Grand Slam shot from Thomas tipped the balance of the game completely in his side's favour, as they went on to score a season-high 17 to beat off the Joliet Slammers.
