Making what is likely to be his final appearance for Manchester City last night, Joe Hart was treated to a huge reception from fans inside the Etihad Stadium.
From cheering his every touch, to standing as one in the 66th minute to chant his name, City fans showed their respect for a 'keeper who has served them well over the past decade.
Hart himself struggled to hold back the emotions on the pitch and now the England shot-stopper has taken to social media to pay his own tribute to the supporters.

Posting the message on his official Instagram account in the aftermath of City's 1-0 win over Steaua Bucuresti, Hart made it clear that, while his time at the club could be coming to an end soon, he will never forget his spell in Manchester.
Although he made his first appearance of the season in last night's Champions League qualifier, it was little more than a chance for Hart and City's fans to say their goodbyes.
With just under a week to go until the transfer window closes, the 29-year-old is all but certain to leave the club with Willy Caballero ahead of his in the pecking order and Claudio Bravo set to arrive from Barcelona.
But, while his time at City isn't ending on his terms, he will leave as a club legend after playing a pivotal role in helping the team claim its first ever Premier League titles.
Speaking after Wednesday night's game, Pep Guardiola acknowledged Hart's impact on the club.
"I know he is a legend for this club," the former Barcelona and Bayern manager explained, via Sky Sports. "I know part of what the club has become - one of the reasons is Joe.
"They won the Premier League, the cup. He helped to make this team one step above. I am so happy how the people treat him and love him.
"But I am here to take decisions. I make a lot of mistakes - my decisions in my career as a coach are sometimes good, sometimes bad, but I take decisions.
"I try to be honest with myself. I can't deny what I feel. I was honest with Joe, I was honest with the club and all the players in the squad. The people must follow me."
The breakup between Hart and the City fans may be an emotional one. However, if Guardiola is able to end this season with a league or European title, the club's supporters will quickly learn to forgive and forget.
For Hart, it may take him some time longer.
