As with many WWE pay-per-view events of late, last week's SummerSlam extravaganza has already been criticised by members of the WWE Universe.
Whether it be because of a particular outcome of a match, the duration of a bout or the exclusion of certain superstars from the main card, some fans were not impressed.
The original plans for one of the company's biggest events of the year have since been revealed and they make for particularly interesting reading.

As NoDQ.com has reported, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com revealed some of the initial plans for the event which took place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, last Sunday night.
One of possibly the less surprising changes was that Baron Corbin was set to face Kalisto on the night, but their match was removed from the card due to other matches taking priority.
Elsewhere, the first of the Best of Seven Series between Sheamus and Cesaro was, as many thought, originally set to take place on the main card.
This match-up was instead replaced by the six-woman tag team match which included Nikki Bella's return, which was an unsurprising change by WWE given how much they favour big returns.
As well as these changes, the site stated that original plans for the event involved man of the moment Finn Balor taking on Chris Jericho.
This was because Seth Rollins was scheduled to face his former co-member of The Shield; Roman Reigns, prior to the latter's suspension.
This match was booked to be for the WWE Title with the Universal Title originally being assigned to SmackDown Live, but all of these changes occurred as a result of both Reigns' and WWE's consequent actions.
