The Miz hit the headlines yesterday after a video from Talking Smack - the SmackDown Live post-show - went viral.
In the video, Miz absolutely destroys SmackDown Live general manager Daniel Bryan, hitting out at the GM for not paying as much respect to the Intercontinental Championship as they could, with Miz taking offense to Bryan's critique of his wrestling style.
The video went off, with people discussing what was kayfabe and what was real-life anger in Miz's speech. One thing is for certain, though, The Miz is massively underappreciated in the modern-day WWE.

In the 21st century WWE, the characters of wrestlers, and how they are treated, are odder than ever.
A whole host of heels are cheered by the fans, just look at Seth Rollins, Chris Jericho, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens and The New Day before they essentially turned face. WWE bad guys are cheered by the fans now because they are more interesting and somehow likeable to the modern day fan. But not The Miz.
In this new age of changing reactions, The Miz still manages to be constantly booed. And it is glorious. No, not Bobby Roode style glorious.
Seriously, Miz is one of the best pure heels in the WWE today. He does absolutely nothing to try and get the crowd on his side, which is real dedication to the character.
And last night, The Miz showed he really cared. He cares a hell of a lot more about that Intercontinental Champion than the WWE creative team do, who have beeing giving him the proverbial chicken s*** to turn into chicken salad.
Hopefully Miz gets a real push as a result of all of this. As one of the best old-school style WWE superstars, he definitely deserves it.
