Michael Bisping is on top of the world right now after stepping in for Chris Weidman at UFC 199 and managed to dethrone Luke Rockhold to become the new middleweight champion, leaving many shocked.
Bisping has never been one to back down from a challenge; the UFC veteran came off a five-round epic against Anderson Silva and less than four months later, he was crowned champion.
GSP VS THE COUNT?
Not only that, he was open to stepping in as a last-minute replacement at UFC 200, when Jon Jones was pulled from the card and Daniel Cormier needed a replacement. Eventually, Silva stepped in.

That alone speaks volumes about the sort of fighter Bisping is, and although he’s currently training for his first title defence against Dan Henderson at UFC 204, ‘The Count’ continues to issue the challenges and his time he’s focusing his attention on Georges St-Pierre.
GSP hasn’t competed since his victory over Johny Hendricks in 2013. Now that he’s re-entered the USADA drug testing programme, it seems like it’s only a matter of time before the former welterweight champion makes his return to the Octagon and while Nick Diaz remains a likely option, Bisping has thrown his name into the hat.
He told Sky Sports: “If he wants to do it, we can fight in Toronto in December.
“There’s a fight card with no main event announced, so if GSP fancies himself and wants to put his gloves back on, here I am!
“I’ll beat Henderson in October, but I don’t mind having a quick turnaround and fighting GSP in December.
“GSP mentioned fighting me recently, and that would be another huge name to add to my resume. I’ll go down to 180lbs and do a catch-weight for him, as an incentive to get back in there.
“I’ve got no inside information [about GSP’s return], I just think it’s time they went to Toronto. But I recently found out there’s still no main event so GSP v Michael Bisping, let’s go.”
There will be plenty of names out there that want to face off against the returning legend, with Bisping and Diaz just two of the many options out there.
