Paul Pogba tweets Manchester United fan who copied his hairstyle

Published 3 Comments

Manchester United fans have taken to Paul Pogba almost immediately since he completed an £89 million return to Old Trafford.

The Frenchman is a Red Devil through and through and will no doubt live up to his eye-watering transfer fee once he's regained fitness and reacquainted himself with his teammates.

Signs suggest that will be the case anyway; against Southampton and Hull City, Pogba demonstrated his skill, strength and inclination to shoot from range, even if the vast majority of his strikes failed to hit the target.

He's a hit on social media too, having posted a number of videos of himself with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Jesse Lingard.

Following United's dramatic win over Hull on Saturday night, though, he took his social media activity to a whole new and quite brilliant level.

In response to a fan's tweet about how he changed his hairstyle to look like Pogba's and made his girlfriend hate him (see below), the 23-year-old said something hilarious:

Well played, Paul, well played.

What's certain is Pogba is happy to be back at the club where it all began. Following his second debut for United against Southampton, he told MUTV: "I enjoyed it, we won and I'm very happy for the team and myself.

"It was a great moment for me to touch the pitch, to come back here and I feel great. We had a good result so I’m happy. I didn’t know I would play 90 minutes! The coach trusted me and I felt good."

Pogba was also asked if he thinks United are capable of winning the Premier League this season, to which he replied: "I hope so.

"That's what we want, we are United and we are used to winning. All we are looking to do is win."

The France international seems to have made a new best friend in Ibrahimovic, who he claims is like a "big brother" at the Theatre of Dreams.

"Zlatan is the big brother of everyone," Pogba said, per the Guardian. "He is relaxed, makes jokes and on the pitch he is a winner so he will really help the team, with [Wayne Rooney].

"I think he is the oldest in the team and Zlatan is the oldest in the team too, so those two will help the team a lot."
