Piers Morgan hasn’t had many nice things to say about Arsene Wenger in recent times.
Seriously frustrated by what he claims is a lack of ambition in the transfer window, the TV host refuses to call Wenger by name on social media and yesterday accused the Frenchman of holding Arsenal back.
But despite being dissatisfied with the Arsenal manager, Morgan will always defend his team when they become the butt of the jokes.

Today was such a day. Today marks the five year anniversary of Arsenal’s stunning 8-2 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford and the Red Devils didn’t let their Premier League rivals forget it.
United posted a video on Twitter of the eight goals put past Wojciech Szczesny on August 28, 2011.
Seeing United delighting in the win, Morgan responded: “Was that when you were still in the Champions League?”
It’s not a bad attempt at trolling the Red Devils, who aren’t in this season’s Champions League and haven’t been in Europe’s elite competition for two of the past three campaigns, but we’re not giving Morgan the W.
An Arsenal fan using the Champions League as ammunition is just weak. Especially against United, who have been champions of Europe three times in their history.
And though the Gunners are among the Premier League’s representatives in the competition, nobody’s expecting them to make much of a splash. Wenger’s team have exited the tournament at the round-of-16 stage in each of the past six seasons.
United only have the Europa League to look forward to this season but the odds on them winning the big-eared trophy before Arsenal are probably quite short. For a Gooner, that must be depressing.
