Manchester City may well have secured their third consecutive Premier League victory of the season against West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon, but Pep Guardiola could have one major concern ahead of the Manchester derby in 13 days time. 

With the game approaching its latter stages in Eastlands, City striker Sergio Aguero quite clearly took an elbow to Hammers ace Winston Reid. 

Indeed, as you can see in the video below, Aguero, who failed to find the back of the net against Slaven Bilic's side, lashed out at Reid who fell the ground holding his face.

There's now every chance that the Argentine forward will face retrospective action from the FA after referee Andre Marriner missed the incident.

The 28-year-old could now be handed a three-match suspension, which would keep him out of next month's Manchester derby.

Aguero could be banned 

As well as missing the contest against United, Aguero would have to sit out of games against Bournemouth and Swansea City.

As you can imagine, then, Manchester United fans have duly reacted to the controversial incident on social media. 

In fact, United fans have compared Aguero's elbow to the one that Marouane Fellaini produced on Leicester City defender Robert Huth last season. 

Fellaini was punished with a three-game suspension by the FA and United fans are hoping to see Aguero experience a similar fate.
