Mourinho knows who he wants.

Jose Mourinho has already identified his transfer priority for next summer

You’d think after spending almost £150 million and smashing the world transfer fee that Jose Mourinho wouldn’t be thinking about making any more transfers any time soon.

However, it seems that the Portuguese boss rather enjoyed splashing the cash - so much so that he’s already planning on breaking the £89 million he has just spent on Paul Pogba.

That’s because, according to the Mirror, the Special One is already targeting next summer’s transfer priority - Antoine Griezmann.

Mourinho is well aware that, in 12 months time, it is highly likely he would need to break the world transfer record yet again to get his man.

But this isn’t the first time Mourinho has attempted to sign the Frenchman. Whilst Chelsea manager, he tried several attempts to convince him to join Stamford Bridge, but to no avail.

It’s believed that Griezmann is well aware of United’s interest but has signed a contract at the Vicente Calderon which lasts until 2021. However, he knows Atleti have a history of selling their star players for the right place and the club would likely accept an astronomical offer from the Red Devils.

However, Mourinho would be well aware that he isn’t the only manager that is going to be interested in Griezmann. He’ll know that he needs to get the club back into the Champions League if they are to compete with the top European clubs for the 25-year-old.

But the United boss has already started the courting to ensure that he is right at the front of the queue ready to pounce if Griezmann does become available.

We all know what you’re thinking: ‘United are never going to sign Griezmann.’ Well, did you think they would pull off the Pogba deal? No, neither did we.

Mourinho has a habit of getting the player he wants so don’t be surprised to see Griezmann becoming the world’s most expensive player next season and moving to the Theatre of Dreams.
