The Rock returned at WrestleMania 32.

WWE drop hint that The Rock's in-ring career is not over

Published 9 Comments

WWE have recently published a video on their official Facebook page discussing the four hottest free agents in the aftermath of the Draft.

Following the brand split and the divide of Monday Night Raw and SmackDown LIVE, there are some superstars that found themselves without a brand they can call home.

No, we aren't going to be talking about Heath Slater, it's actually about Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, who has been listed as one of the hottest free agents, alongside The Undertaker, Emma, and Luke Harper.

The Rock made his surprise return to WWE back at WrestleMania 32, where he had a brief match with Erick Rowan, who he defeated thanks to a Rock Bottom.

In fact, the match was a record breaker as it is the fastest match in 'Mania history.

However, WWE have dropped a hint that The Rock isn't finished in the squared circle, and have teased that he could be back in the ring sooner rather than later.

During the original brand split back in 2002, The Rock was involved and was in fact the number one pick for Vince McMahon and SmackDown LIVE, which later went on to become his show.

In the video package, which can be seen below, it was stated that The Rock's in-ring career is far from over.

"In the original brand extension draft in 2002, Mr. McMahon chose The Rock as the top pick for SmackDown.

"The most electrifying man in all of entertainment has created a Hall of Fame worthy resume but as he showed at WrestleMania 32 with a record-breaking win over Erick Rowan his in-ring career is far from over."

Despite claiming his in-ring career is not over just yet, WWE fans shouldn't expect to see The Rock back in the ring anytime soon, but another WrestleMania could be on the cards with the event being in Orlando next year.

It is expected that the People's Champ will have a role in the event.
