Joey Barton's professional career is littered with controversial - but hilarious - moments.
In 2010, whilst playing for Newcastle United, the 34-year-old infamously punched Blackburn Rovers' Morten Gamst Pedersen in the ribs and was consequently banned.
And two years later, he was sent off against Manchester City for an elbow on Sergio Aguero, before punching Carlos Tevez and trying to headbutt Vincent Kompany as he left the pitch.

Barton received a 12-match ban from The FA as a result.
Another memorable moment from the central midfielder, now at Rangers, came against Paris Saint-Germain in 2013 for Marseille.

In an argument with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Barton told the 34-year-old he had a "big f*****g nose" before gesturing it's size (see below for a video of the incident).
Barton has since been asked many times what happened that night at the Parc Des Princes, but in a recent interview with FourFourTwo magazine, per Squawka, Barton recalled the coming together once again and intimated he has no regrets about mocking Ibrahimovic.
He said: "I don't know - you should ask him now he's in the Premier League!
"That goes on all the time on the pitch, although maybe not as in-your-face as that. Unluckily the cameras picked up on it.
"We were having a minor disagreement, it got personal and you react. I was just making an observation. He has got a big nose."
So, what was it exactly that Ibrahimovic said to prompt such a response from Barton.
Here's what the one-time England international told L'Equipe in 2013: "Before the game, Elie Baup told me to get under Zlatan’s skin, to stop him from turning too easily and controlling aerial balls from their goalkeeper.
"I was winning loads of free kicks, because he was making foul after foul.
"So he said to me: 'You play hard, so stay on your feet', so I told him, laughing: 'Yeah, just stop making stupid fouls'.
"Then he called me an English so-and-so, so I replied: 'Yeah, I'm English, but you've got a huge nose', and I did the gesture showing his huge nose."
Fantastic - let's just hope Ibrahimovic is asked for his version of events during his time in the Premier League.
