The WWE announced this week on Monday Night Raw that The New Day will defend their WWE Raw Tag Team Championship against Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows at Clash of Champions later this month.
The match was announced after an absolutely uncomical and downright cringeworthy segment between The Club and The Old Day, which consisted of 'old' versions of New Day members Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods that in the future were under the care of 'Doctors' Gallows and Anderson.
The two Club members were entitled to this match after Big E recovered from the case of Ringpostitis (groin smacked against the ring post) the 'Doctors' gave him and interfered in their SummerSlam match against Woods and Kingston for the tag team titles to save honorary New Day member Jon Stewart from the same illness that saw Big E sidelined.

The New Day have now been the tag team champions for 379 days as of Raw this week, and will look to keep that run going, but as the new era is properly issued in, it's time for a new team at the top of the tag team division.
To be honest, there hasn't really been that much to get invested into in this feud since SummerSlam, so a change might be good to help keep it fresh.
Not only that, but change will also open the door for other teams on Raw, such as Enzo Amore and Big Cass, to compete for the titles.
WWE also announced this week that Kevin Owens would put his WWE Universal Championship on the line against Seth Rollins at Clash of Champions, and Sasha Banks would also get her rematch against Charlotte for the WWE Raw Women's Championship.
